Introduction
Did you know that in 2016 there was an influx of 20 700 refugees in The Netherlands? The initial concern was the accommodation, however the major issue was actually integration and participation in the Dutch society. After their integration program, refugees are often unsure what kind of approach they should make in order to find a job in a foreign country.
We at Nanshe’s Key want to create a social and professional networking platform to help refugees integrate more effortlessly and quickly into the Dutch society. We plan on doing this by assisting the refugees with job opportunities (NGOs, governments, companies) that can be found on our platform.
Our objective
To ensure that the refugees are able to support themselves by participating in the labor market and Dutch society in order to successfully integrate.
Our aim
To provide a system, initially just on paper, later as a platform, where we can create a profile for a refugee, including his information, story, picture and aspirations. This profile is used to track the help every refugee is receiving and approach individual organizations that are willing to provide the help the particular refugee is missing (Dutch language course, psychotherapy, clothing for interviewees, etc.). At the end of the process, the aim is to approach companies with the full profile to apply for jobs for the refugee in question. In this way we humanize each person, rather than them being just a number, we combine most stake holders and we help them get a job. Ideally this would later become a platform where refugees, NGOs, Governments and Companies can access all over Europe.
Budget
Our goal is €400 With €400 we can launch our website by purchasing a web domain as well as a high quality template. We can also start building a network by engaging the refugees, local companies, and NGOs and invite them to use our platform.
We strongly believe that your help and our professional network can be the key to make a difference in the life of a refugee!
